All Things Kansas is a data, mapping and reporting platform. It is designed to help visitors find data and maps about Kansas quickly and easily and support more informed decision-making across the state. With access to more than 30,000 data layers, the All Things Kansas map room provides visitors with a robust set of historical and current data from more than 120 national secondary sources. All Things Kansas also hosts a variety of topic-based reports and highlights related tools and resources.

Yes. All Things Kansas hosts both recent and historical data. Historical data layers are available by year in the map room. Historical data are available in the topic-based reports as trends over time.

  1. Begin by searching for data you want to view on the map. A “Find a Data Layer” pane will appear as you enter the map room. Use the keyword search (e.g. – poverty, population change, income, housing) to explore available map layers.
  2. Click the checkbox next to the layer you want to view on the map, and the map layer will load.
